Advanced Disaster & Emergency Response

Duration: 24 hours

Course Content:

This course provides Sanid volunteers (who completed Basic Disaster) with the knowledge and skills on the following:

  • Team Organization
  • Orientation
  • Crisis Communication
  • Volunteer management
  • Advanced First Aid
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Advanced SANID response
  • General Leadership & team building

Course Duration:

This course is 24 hours long and is taught either over 3 full days or over 4 days, 6 hours per day.

Course Outcomes:

  • The course is designed to develop the skills of the advanced emergency response members team work
  • To work as a well organized, skillful, and professional team in all aspects of the community emergency response team
  • Advanced search and rescue
  • Medical area set up and procedures, communication skills, incident command system
  • Implementation and evaluations skills
  • Communications, planning and mapping.

  • Basic Disaster / Emergency Response Course
