Sanid, the UAE’s first National emergency response volunteer Program, a collection of dedicated individuals motivated by an unwavering sense of civic duty to their community and to their fellow citizens.

In the event of national or local disasters or emergencies, Sanid volunteers from all over UAE can be called upon to assist the emergency relief authorities responding to the crisis.

  • Volunteers trainings in all UAE emirates, including Western Region and Al Ain.
  • Organizing Volunteers into local team structures (15 teams – currently in all emirates).
  • Regular trainings and advanced exercises across Abu Dhabi and Northern Emirates in cooperation with emergency services and local authorities.
  • Participation in large-scale events (F1, FIFA, National Day).
  • Actual emergency response – Sanid volunteers have responded in real local emergencies in the UAE and to disasters internationally (Pakistan, Jordan) and saved lives in real-life individual emergencies.
  • Participation in international events – Hajj, missions in US, Tanzania, GCC Football Cup 2013 etc together with other Emirates Foundation Programs.
